Installing Mac OS X from an iPod

By admin | November 20, 2008

This is a quick demonstration of installing Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) onto a Core Duo MacBook from a 30 GB 5G iPod. I no long have the Leopard disk image or OS on my hard drive. I will buy a genuine retail box copy in Jan. after MacWorld. I suggest everyone else do the same. I will NOT reply to any questions or comments in regard to this video. DON’T STEAL MAC OS X!

u can just burn XP to a cd or dvd

The only reason he used his ipod is because Leopard is over 4GB and a dvd can only hold 4

10.2 is quite old and doesn’t have many features that the new ones have. He probably has 10.4 Tiger

This isin’t gonna actually affect the iPod, because it uses a hard drive, exactly was any Mac or PC uses.

This is not very good for the iPod’s Hard disk.

This is fine on a flash based iPod (Nano, Touch, etc), but it can shorten the life of your iPod’s hard drive.
